Use your head
I’m off to the beach, so I don’t have time to write very much right now.
Instead you can savour the next part of the Darwyn saga…
Darwyn the third
I’ve finally decided on a name for my comic: Darwyn.
“The third” because it’s the third one completed, naturally. ;)
I managed to churn out a new one today too, but I’m not doing a little experiment using textures. Let me know what you think of it, whether it’s to intrusive or subtle enough.
And I just can’t help showing off a little about HOW I made this. ;)
I had one of my coworkers film me drawing for a little while. As always I’m inking over pencils.
What to call it?
Another day, another drawing…
This time a direct followup to yesterdays comic.
First a few pictures, both of the progress and of me filling in a large-ish area of ink with a brush.
And here’s the comic.

I have a problem with this series, though: What to call it?
I want a simple name, preferably a one-word name, but also something catchy enough to easily remember and spell. I’ve envisioned it to be the name of that pink-ish blob-creature, but is doesn’t have to be. Any and all suggestions (that isn’t cussing) will be highly appreciated .
Drawing blobs
It’s summertime, and not much to do at work. At least not all the time.
Today I found the time to draw a little. Last night I kept dreaming of a cute “monster” that was sad because he was all alone. This idea kept popping up in my mind today too, so I started sketching and refining the sketches, and as I did so a little story started to form inside my skull.
I started penciling before lunch, and afterwards I went on to inking. By then the weather had changed from dreary and cloudy to bright and warm sunshine, so I picked up my toolbox and did all the inking outside.
By the way, here’s what my toolbox looks like:
Inking done and the worst errors hidden by white acrylics. As you can see I use a board that I tape the paper onto. This paper is A3 Bristol, particularly suited for ink and airbrush.
Back home I scanned the drawing and imported it into Photoshop. Using my Intuos 4wl tablet I added some simple color. I wanted the colors to be drab and muted to emphasize the monsters loneliness.
Here’s the final result. I hope you like it.
